Ayleen Gomez Lopez, MA, LPC, LMHC
For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a counselor - to offer people a safe, comfortable space to talk through whatever was going on in their life. I was lucky to know what I wanted to do as soon as I started college and graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University in Miami, FL. Always eager to learn more, I later obtained my Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Missouri - Kansas City and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri since 2011. In 2022, I obtained an LPC in Arkansas and as of 2024, I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida.
I’ve been fortunate to have worked extensively with a variety of populations, including those experiencing depression, anxiety, and psychosis. I feel especially passionate about working with people undergoing infertility, depression, and anxiety. As a military spouse, I also have first-hand knowledge of some of the unique challenges faced by service members and their families. I use various evidence-based treatments when providing counseling, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy among others.
